Terms of sale

These terms cover buying and using an ETA-CODE licence. They are the same terms set out in the User Manual supplied with the software; nothing here is new to a customer who has read it.

Who you are buying from

ETA-CODE is sold by Etako Inc., a fully incorporated software company in Ontario, Canada.

These terms are governed by the law of Ontario, Canada, and any dispute arising from them is subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.

What you are buying

A licence to run the ETA-CODE Expert Advisor on your own MetaTrader trading accounts, together with the documentation supplied with it.

Buying a licence does not transfer ownership of the software. You are buying the right to run it, not the right to own, resell, or build from it.

What it costs

$599 for one year, or $1,499 for three years. One licence, one price, nothing recurring unless you choose to renew at the end of the term.

Prices are in US dollars and include no sales tax; where tax is due on a sale it is stated before you pay.

How the licence works

A key is issued against a MetaTrader account number and works on that account and no other. One licence covers up to 3 account numbers at a time, sharing a single expiry date.

A licence runs for one year or three years. There is no monthly or quarterly licence, and that is deliberate rather than a pricing choice: this system holds positions for weeks and compounds over long stretches, so a licence that lapses in the middle of a run interrupts an account that is still building. The shorter the term, the more likely that is.

The same reasoning sets the longer term. At $1,499 the three years licence costs less per year than the one year one, and it removes the question of renewal from an account that is in the middle of doing its work.

Changing broker costs nothing. Ask for a reissue and the new key carries the same expiry date — not a fresh term, and not a shorter one.

If your term produces no trades

If a licence term ends without the software having opened a single trade, that term renews itself free of charge, and keeps doing so until you have actually had trades. This applies to both terms.

The one condition is that the software was running during the term. Extensions are earned by being switched on, not by leaving a licence unused.

This guarantee belongs to the purchase, not to the account. Once your licence has produced trades on any account you have used it on, the purchase has delivered what you paid for and the term then runs to its date.

Delivery

Your key is issued against the MetaTrader account number you give at checkout, so that number must be correct. If it is wrong, write to licence@eta-code.comCopy it, or open it in whichever mail you use.Copy the addressGmailOutlookYour mail app and it will be reissued at no charge.

Delivery is by email, normally within 24 hours.

The clock starts when the payment confirms, not when it is sent. A cryptocurrency transfer takes a few minutes to several hours to confirm depending on the network and what you pay in fees; until it does, no key can be issued.

What you may not do

You may not resell, pass on, share, publish, lend, rent or give the software or its documentation to another trader — in whole or in part, for payment or for nothing — without written permission.

You may not decompile it, disassemble it, attempt to recover its rules from it, or build another product from what you learn by running it.

Doing any of these ends your licence immediately and without refund, on every account it covers. Keys are issued per account and every running copy identifies itself, so a copy that appears where it should not is traceable to the licence it came from.

Risk, and the limit of what is promised

ETA-CODE is a tool. The money, the account and the decision to use it are yours. Trading carries risk of loss, and you may lose some or all of the money you trade with it.

Every figure published on this site and in the documentation is a backtest — what the rules would have done over data that has already happened. It is not a record of money made and it is not a forecast. Past results do not guarantee future performance.

Nothing supplied with ETA-CODE is financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to trade gold or anything else. If you are unsure whether it suits your circumstances, take advice from someone qualified to give it.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

These terms may change for future purchases. The terms that apply to your licence are the ones published on the day you bought it.
